Swiss slides in pdf format

Thanks for your continuing interest in the talks I gave in Switzerland.

Take a look at the slides for Friday’s talk in Zürich in pdf format.

Same goes for Saturday’s talk in Bern.

The two talks were simmerent – which is a word that I have just invented. I guess it means pretty-similar-in-parts-without-being-exactly-the-same. Wonder if it will catch on? Maybe diffilar sounds better?

    Dear Edmund

thank you very much for sharing this handout and many of your terrific ideas with us. Super job!!!
It’s great to have something in hand which I can present to the dean of the Pädagogische Hochschule Thurgau. I’m sure they want to know who you are and have some sort of a profile. I am convinced they should make you come for a session next year. It would be such a benefit for students as well as for their professors.

I absolutely love your sense of humour. No Swiss teacher would ever reveal anything like your Elvis moment in public. I had to laugh so much reading about it. The British sense of humour is truely outstanding and amazing and I wish, we Swiss people were able to take things a little less serious at times. Your daughter is very cool. Tell her!

Wow, you must work a whole lot. Your students must be very lucky to have such a dedicated teacher with an enormous amount of creative ideas. Hope, they appreciate you enough for what you are doing.

Thank you for a great session in Bern and for the handout.

    Take care! Kindest regards

    Marianna

    Hey Marianna!
Great to hear from you 🙂
Thank you for your taking the time to leave such a lovely comment – I really appreciate that. I had a great time in Switzerland and am happy to know that you enjoyed the session. Hope to see you again there soon.
I will definitely pass on your message to my daughter. I am sure it will make her smile 🙂 You’re right btw – she’s pretty cool.
As for my ‘British’ sense of humour – I honestly don’t know. I’ve been in Hungary for such a long time that I think I stopped being typically British a loooooong time ago. I guess I’m some sort of weird hybrid. In any case, it’s good to share these funny moments. The only embarrassing thing is if we feel ashamed of them. Life’s too short not to laugh at stuff like this, don’t you think? 🙂
    Very best wishes
    Edmund
